I am Catherine Tannahill, Principal Dentist at The Smile Rooms and Advanced Facial Aesthetics Practitioner. I qualified at Manchester Dental School in 1993 and have since completed extensive postgraduate studies, including my Membership of the Faculty of General Dental Practitioners. I have a particular interest in Cosmetic Dentistry, Facial Aesthetics, Orthodontics and Business Studies. I continually strive to keep bang up to date with new ideas and technologies.
I love leading the fantastic team that we have at The Smile Rooms and looking at ways to delight our patients, with excellent customer service. If you need to improve your smile or wish to commit to long term Oral Health, then we are the practice for you.
When I am not working, I love to spend time with Andy and our boys (usually at the side of a rugby pitch), cycle, run, and potter in our garden.

I am Lise Woodward and I am an associate dentist at The Smile Rooms. I qualified from the centre of excellence The University of Copenhagen, Denmark, in 2003 and have worked in private practice since I qualified 15 years ago. I have worked in the U.K. since 2006 when I moved to York with my husband and fellow clinician Duncan.
During the last 15 years I have completed numerous dental courses including a years post graduate restorative course via Leeds University in 2008. I very much enjoy the restorative pathway with a strong passion and interest in prosthodontics - the construction of fixed/removal dentures, crowns - and bridges.
In my spare time I am devoted to my family - especially my husband Duncan and our daughter Eva. We also have our spoilt, food-loving, 12 year old black labrador Monty.
We enjoy regular trips back to Denmark to see family and friends. I enjoy the outdoors and an uplifting run in the beautiful English countryside or a coffee-trip to Copenhagen or Paris! I love a well made, beautifully presented, strong and tasty coffee (I am a Dane....!).
I'm looking forward to meeting all the patients at The Smile Rooms in Malton and to practice my very best on a daily basis in an environment where patients come first.

name is Luke, and I qualified from Manchester University in 2011. My main
interests lie within Cosmetic, restorative and Implant dentistry. I also have a
keen interest in adult tooth straightening and cosmetic smile design. I am
always looking to expand my knowledge in these areas and keep up to date with
the latest advances to ensure my patients receive the best treatments available.
I have completed several post graduate courses with well known cosmetic dentists to ensure that my skills are to the highest standard. I have training in composite veneers and cosmetic bonding, and am currently enrolled in a year long advanced cosmetic and restorative course covering all aspects of the latest dental restorative techniques.
I am also trained to place dental implants, having completed a year long course in implant dentistry at the highly regarded ICE implant hospital in Manchester. I have also received mentoring from a number of very experienced implantologists to ensure all aspects of my treatment from planning to placement of implants is to the highest standard possible.
I take great pride in ensuring my patients are as comfortable as possible throughout the treatment process and always do my best to put them at ease whenever I can. My aim is to make sure from start to finish that your treatment process is as simple as possible, while providing to you the highest standard of care available.

Hello I’m Kerry and I’m part of the hygienist team at The Smile Rooms.
I’ve worked in dentistry since 1989, firstly as a dental nurse then as a hygienist from 1999.
I have worked for The Smile Rooms since 2006, but Catherine and I first worked together from 2000 at a private practice in York. I thoroughly enjoy my job and have loved the work from day one, having a super support team here at the Smile Rooms is a great bonus.
I enjoy all aspects of the work, from helping phobic patients overcome their fears, to restoring a patient’s smile simply by removing unsightly stain.
To relax I enjoy photography, cake decorating and of course spending time with my husband, David & Son Jack; together we like walking, cycling & running.

Hello my name is Jane Sherwood and I am lucky enough to be a member of the team here at the Smile Rooms. I have been a Dental Hygienist for ever (1970) and still love my work. I particularly enjoy helping the nervous patient who finds visiting the dental surgery a terrifying experience. It is very satisfying to help change a person's feelings about the dental visit and here at the Smile Rooms we all want the very best for everyone.
When I am not at work I enjoy watercolour painting, cake decorating and reading.
My husband John and I enjoy our grandchildren, eating out and the odd holiday.
